Oh Day of Thanks

I guess I'm not one of those people who post something I'm thankful for everyday in November... but I am thankful for things! Right now I'm just sitting here waiting for that amazing Thankgsiving dinner that I have been craving for at least 2 months now. So to pass the time I guess I will do a little reminising on my past year and all the things I am thankful for.

My year started out with a bang, so first things first...

On New Years Eve Chase asked me to marry him. Pretty spectacular first day of the year if you ask me. So first off I'm thankful for him. He works so hard to provide for us, and at the end of the day comes home and pretends like he has the energy to hang out with me. I know if I had his schedule I would die. I'm thankful he's so hardworking and devoted to me. Also a little side note he's probably going to be the best dad on this planet. I know he probably wouldn't want me to tell you all this but I think he's even excited that we're having a girl! She'll be daddy's little girl. That I have no doubts about. We celebrated our 7 month anniversary a couple days ago. I'm looking forward to many more months and years.

I'm thankful for my family. They really do so much for me. Like last night Becca texted me and asked me if I would like some of her homemade rolls for dinner. Who can say no to that? I'm thankful that she is always there for me no matter what. I'm thankful for my mom and all that she has done for me this year. Without her my wedding would have been a disaster. She's so creative and crafty. I'm thankful that I can be so lost at a store and not be able to find that one last thing I need and all I have to do is call her up and she knows exactly where to tell me to go.

I'm grateful for my new family I gained this year. Chase's family has accepted me as one of their own and I couldn't be more thankful to them for that.

I'm thankful for my baby growing so big and strong inside of me. She already brings so much happiness to Chase and I that I can't imagine how it will be when she is actually born. Yesterday we had to go down to St. George to get an ultrasound because she was measuring small and they wanted to be sure 1. everything was ok, and 2. that my due date was on track. So she got measured and scoped out and the main specialist Dr. came in. He sat down and looked at me and said, "So why are you here?" I kind of looked at him like I was confused because I thought he should know why I was there. But I said, "well, they said my baby was small." he looked back at me again and kind of laughed and told me that my baby was kind of small if she was expected to be a ten pound baby. He told me I was young and healthy and it was my first baby. Then he asked me how tall I was. I said 5'3" and he said well yeah... I don't think your baby should be any bigger than she is. This is kind of the view point I had on the situation the whole time. But I understand doctors having to check all their bases so I was fine with getting all the ultrasounds done. But I always came back to the thought that I'm not big and Chase surely isn't big so why on earth would our baby be big. The dr. confirmed what I had thought the whole time and so it looks like we are on track. So long story short I'm thankful for my healthy little baby girl and the doctors who know how to take care of her.

I'm thankful we have food in our cupboards and a roof over our head. I'm thankful for the gospel in my life and the truthfulness and happiness it brings to me. I'm thankful that my family is sealed together forever. And I'm thankful for my health and the oppertunity I have to have lived another year.

Now I will now provide you with this amazing picture of myself and my baby in my belly. Taken just this morning and I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to 30. I just think it will be a great milestone. So here I am in all of my glory.
