Weekend Getaway

Hello big family. Those were my thoughts this weekend when Chase and I headed over to Minersville for Memorial Day. We had so much fun. Saturday afternoon Chase called me and asked if I would want to go over there for the weekend. He was already there because he goes over every day for work. I didn't put up too much of an argument to get out of Cedar for a couple of days. So I packed up headed out. Chase's aunt and uncle were staying at his grandma's house for the weeked also with their two girls and little boy. I can just say that I have some new best friends in those three. They are adorable and so fun. Chase and I went fishing... Chase broke his pole and neither of us caught any fish... so I don't know how successful it was.

Sunday afternoon the whole family came over for a BBQ. I had been around all of them before but never as a real part of the family. I found out that I became number 34 in the family. I come from a family with 4 cousins so it's kind of a big jump for me. But it is fun to have all the little kiddies running around. Sunday night a group of us got together and started the card games. I won't say anything about crazy jungle uno. But I will just say that I kicked butt at Phase 10.

Monday morning I got to run out to the Horse barn and watch Chase gallop some horses. He was so good! I liked petting the horses. They're so pretty. I never can remember any of their names though. They are all race horses so their owners give them crazy names like orange pancake and stuff. I just call them the black one and the one with spots on it's legs.

But I have to say that the highlight of my weekend was helping Chase with his sprinkler chores. We had to change the sprinklers and stuff that I really don't understand. But it was just so fun and nice to spend that time with him in the fields and riding in his work truck and on his little motorcycle. He rides the motorcycle from field to field and I was so excited to go on his rounds with him. We did this Sunday and Monday morning. I kind of wish I could do it everday. No wonder he loves it so much.

We had a super fun weekend. I'm sorry that I forgot my camera and there are no pictures. I regretted not taking it all weekend. Next time I will though. I promise. I think we are going fishing next weekend so I will have to make sure I don't forget it so you can all see my big fish that I catch.. or not. :)
