Well my title is refering to my feelings about summer drawing to an end :(. I'm trying to live up every last minute of the last couple of weeks and I know the next couple are going to be oh so great.
I celebrated my 20th birthday last Sunday. It was such a fun day. I love that it was on a Sunday because it's the only day of the week I get to hang out with my husband all day. We had a fun day. He made me breakfast and helped me clean up the house. Later in the day we went over to my mom's house for dinner and to hang out with the fam. Chase got me a Nook earlier in the week it's been so much fun! I love it!
Yesterday Chase had a big race that he was riding in. It was the second to the last race. So it was around 7 before it was time for him to race. I was nervous, he was nervous, his mom was nervous... we were all just a wreck. The winnings for the race were over ten thousand dollars. Chase trains the horse with his uncle and his uncle's brother. His uncle's brother is actually the owner of this specific horse. So that made the family even more on edge. Well before we knew it he was off. It was such a great race. He ran exactly like planned and at the end it was really close. We were all jumping and screaming in the stands like crazy people. I'm sure it was quite a sight. He ended up taking second place by about a foot. It was so intense though and so much fun. He did such a good job and we were all so proud of how well he rode. It was such a fun exciting day.
Next week we are headed to Vegas for a little Chase and Kayla trip for a couple of days. It's going to be great. I'll let you all know how it goes... even if it does take me forever to blog. Maybe I'll even take some pictures so my blog posts won't be so boring and full of only words. Oh well... here comes another week!
